Hello Lit. Circle A,
We just learned about biographies and are about to read one about Martin Luther King, Jr. Remember that a biography is a true story about someone's life written by someone else.
Please read a one biography from this website: http://www.biography.com/bio4kids/bio4kids-meet.jsp . When you have read about that person, please write a summary of that person's life. Begin with a topic sentence and be sure to include the most important things in their life. It should be AT LEAST 5 sentences.

ReplyDeleteI read about Barack Obama he are some things I learned. Barack Obama was born on August 4,1961. He was born in Hawaii. He grew up herding goats. He was a very good basketball player. His parents divorced when he was three and his mother left. In 2008 he was elected president of the United States of America. He was the first African American president to be elected. Barack Obama is left handed.

ReplyDeleteI read a biography about Barack Obama. When he was little he was born in Hawii! His dad was born in Kenya and his mom was born in Wichita, Kansas. His mom and dad got divorced when he was three years old. He lived all over the country when he was growing up. When he was ten he was an honor student and a great basketball player. Barack Obama graduated from Punahou Acatemy and moved to California to go to school at Occidental Collage. When he finished collage he looked for a job as a community organizer. He decided to bcome a lawyer so he moved to Boston and met a nother lawyer and they got married and had two kids named Malia and Natasha. In 2008 Barack Obama was selected president of the United States of Amarica. Now he is the first hawiian and afican-amarican president!

ReplyDeleteI read about Geronimo.He was a Native American warrior.Geronimo was born around the 1828s and grow up in Mexico and the southwestern U.S..He was a member of the Chihuahuas Apache.When Geronimo was 30 years old,Mexican troops killd his wife, children,and his mother in attack, when he last his family he was really mad, and sower he would get reaveng on the Mexicans.In 1874 he and his people got a grater challenge,the U.S goverment.With out right or eonght food they strangled to survive!He was on the run.In 1886 the U.S. government had 5,000 sollders looking for Geronimo and his people. With in 5 months he surrendered,to the U.S. goverment.Geronimo was put in Oklahoma and died late that year on February 17,1909.

ReplyDeleteI read a biography about William Shakespear. I read that noone really knows what William Shakespear's real birthday is and that it is commonly known as April 23, 1564 in Stratford- upon- Avon. Shakespear died on April 23, 1616. Since his death there hs been more speculation whether he really wrote all of the plays himself or they were writen by a group of people. I read that the purpose for William Shakespear is that William Shakespear was a famous poem play type things and he did it mostly because he loved to do it for fun and William Shakespear just loved to write plays because he just enjoyed doing for alng time.

ReplyDeleteThe biogrphy that I remember realy good is the Marthen Luther King Jr. One thing I know about MLK is that one day when Martten went to his frend house he couldn't play ith him because they made a law that black and white peple can't talk to eachother. One day a lady named Rosea Parks went in the frount of the bus but only white people can sit in the frount of the bus so the bus driver demand that Rosea Parks had to sit in the back of the bus with all the other black people and she said no. So the bus driver called the cops and the cops took Rosea Parks to jail. Marthen Luther King Jr got so ad when he head about that so he wrote a speech. Marten's first words were, “I had a dream”. Marthen Luther King Jr was the first man to do that. His speech was that black people and white people would be treated the same way. All the white people said no so MLK did a boycot so all the black people joined MLK and soon after that white people joined him to. Everyone stoped going on the buses and all of the bus drivers got mad because the less the people go on the buses the less money they git. So the people who makes up the laws said yes to Mathen Luther King Jr's plan. Everyone was so happy that Martten Luther King Jr. That is alittle bit of what I know about Martten Luther King Jr.
