Hooter helped Katie by welcoming her into the group and letting her follow them.
2.) What was the significance of Corporal Hibbs?
It was to keep the kids safe. Or it was that he was a boy who disappeared.
3.) Why did Matt leave the group after General Washington had requested Corporal Hibbs take them to a safe place?
Matt left the group because he wanted to give George Washington his cape.
4.) Please tell how and if you are enjoying the book so far.
I am enjoying the book. I like how the author is very descriptive and how the author puts you in not only Matt's shoes, but also all the kids shoes.

General George Washington helped Katie by taking her off the ice in the water and wrapping her with his cape.
2.) What was the significance of Corporal Hibbs?
That he was the friend of Matt's grampa who got in the rowboat and got sent back in time.
3.) Why did Matt leave the group after General Washington had requested Corporal Hibbs take them to a safe place?
To give George Washington his cape.
