Here are a couple questions for you to respond to after reading chapters 10 and 11.
1.) Matt meets Israel Gates in chapter 10 and a lot goes on between them. Describe some of those events.
2.) Put yourself in Matt’s place. What is he seeing, experiencing and feeling? How is he holding up in this situation?

What goes on between them is that they kind of don't understand each other, they both did something nice for each other and are happy that they are friends.

Matt is feeling sick and cold. He is holding up by Israel telling him he could do it.

1.) Matt meets Israel Gates in chapter 10 and a lot goes on between them. Describe some of those events.
First, they talk about where Matt is from and they talk about themselves. they mostly talk about Matt's clothing and how Israel would love to have them. Israel shows his hurt feet which urges him to give his "snaker"
to Israel. Israel returns the favor by giving Matt pigeon. Israel starts talking about how the army just barely survived from a war and then talks about Matt and his gun. Then Israel starts a talk about his family and mostly about his sister and his present he has for her. Then Matt starts talking about his sister Katie. Matt then starts talking about the truth of how he got to the time of the war. Israel then says to Matt to worry because he has got him.
2.)Put yourself in Matt’s place. What is he seeing, experiencing and feeling? How is he holding up in this situation?
Matt is seeing soldiers everywhere, he also sees his friend suffering and he sees the trouble he has got himself in. He is experiencing bitter cold, hurting, and many more things. He is also experiencing separation from friends and family, and worries. He feels responsible for Katie and feeling the bitter cold, loss of a new friend and the scared feeling of war.

ReplyDeleteWhat goes on between them is that since they are both from different times they cant understand each other like when Matt tried explaining that Israel was big kid and he was a little kid. Then Israel started thinking that Matt was saying that he was a big goat. Then, Israel started looking like his feet were freezing so he gave him his shoes. Israel then gave him food.

ReplyDelete1)Here are some things that happened when Matt met Iseral and they were getting to know each other and talking about what they like and what they dislike. Isaral was talking about his 5 sister and how her favorite color was blue so he bought her some blue beads.Then Matt told Iseral that he had a sister but 7 years old .
2)If I were to put myself in Matt,s place I would be scared and worried that I would never see my parents again because they would say the will e there in this situation. I would understand why he would want to be in a nice cozy home than in a blizzard. Also,I would be exited to see George Washington. I think Matt is very brave to not show his emotion that he is not scared.
