Hello Readers,
What does Arrietty think the purpose is of human "beans"? Meaning, why are they on earth? Also, Arrietty truly believes that her family is not stealing. What is her argument? Would you say it is a strong or weak argument?
Can't wait to see your responses!
Thanks,
Mrs. Springston

Dear,Mrs.S,
ReplyDeleteI think the borrowers think that humans are there to help them get stuff so they could "borrow" from them. I think that she doesn't think they're stealing because they might think that they're supposed to let them have it. Her argument is probably a big argument.
Sincerely,
Joseph
Dear Mrs.S,
ReplyDeleteI think Arrietty thinks the purpose of “human beans” is that we are their “slaves”, meaning that she thinks we are here(alive) for the borrowers as she says, “Human beans are for borrowers-like bread's for butter!”. Arrietty's argument is that they, the borrowers don't steal but that they borrow. I think it is not a very strong argument because the way Arrietty talks about “borrowing” sounds the same as stealing.

Dear Mrs.S,
ReplyDeleteI think that Arritty thinks that human ''beans'' living on Earth is that their stuff is used for the borrowers furniture and food.Arritty thinks that they are not steeling because they use it to live on.Also I think this is a week argument because theres no reason to fight.
Your student,
Andrea
Dear Mrs.S,
ReplyDeleteI think Arrietty thinks we are her butler because we are human beings, but she thinks we are “human beans” not human beings.I think Arrietty is going to argue very strong.I think that The Borrowers are stealing not borrowing because they borrow something and return it yrs. later.
